Do you have any batteries?

By Angie Hancock on 16 Jan 2012

Being a Receptionist at BCM for many years I get asked some random questions on a regular basis, after all that’s what I’m here for……………

Is the lift working?

Where’s Paul ?

Where’s Kevin?

Is the air con working?

Do you have any batteries?

Have you seen my chair?

Do you have any cool mints?

Where are the black jelly beans?

Where’s the cork screw?

However for the past few weeks I have been asked the same question over and over by nearly all staff:

When can we use the stairs?

This has been the most anticipated event in the Agency. These stairs will change our lives here at BCM for the better!

Now given the amount of excitement we decided we should have an official ‘opening of the stairs’ ceremony and who better to cut the ribbon than the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard (well someone impersonating her anyway!).  Karen from Black Lab thank you so much for sharing your hidden talents!

All that says a lot about you Ang. You’re our ‘go to’ girl for everything. Why? Because you’re knowledgeable, helpful and lovely. Everyone turns to you for help and advice because of that. And, that’s why we all love you.

you are the best receptionist I have ever come across.

I’m with Don! By the way, I don’t suppose you happen to know what happens to all those socks that get lost in the wash?
